About Us

APJW is a peer support group for immigrant Japanese women to share their experiences in facing a divorce in Ontario.

 

Transnational Divorce

When immigrant Japanese women face a divorce in Canada, they meet overwhelming challenges in legal systems and social norms that are different from Japan. A group of immigrant Japanese women who have been divorced in Canada created a peer support group to help their fellow women.

Ontario NPO Corporation

APJW(Association of Post-divorce Japanese Women) became Ontario NPO corporation in October 2015.

Mission

Uniting divorced and divorcing immigrant Japanese women and aim to reduce the isolation they face

Members

APJW accepts all Japanese women as its members who have divorced in Ontario regardless of their ex-husband/partners backgrounds.
